My wheel building went from a Park Tool tensiometer to just squeezing spokes in my hand at the shop in Boise
I still keep the tensiometer on the bench, but these days I get a wheel true in 20 minutes by feel and only break out the gauge when a customer's paying $120 a wheel and wants the numbers, so I'm curious whether the old timers here still trust their hands over the tool or if that's just me being lazy.
