Unpopular opinion: the regular who tips $5 in coins is better than the one who waves a $100 bill around

Been at the diner on Route 9 in Albany for 6 years, and I still think about a guy from last March. He sat at counter seat 4, ordered the same club sandwich, left 47 cents in loose change every single day, but he always said thanks and never made a mess. Then a suited guy Tuesday bragged about his big tip while snapping his fingers, then took it back when the card machine glitched. Which customer actually deserves the good treatment, the quiet one who gives consistently or the loud one who promises big and flakes? Has anyone else had a cheap regular who was way easier to serve than a flashy spender?
