Remember when you could just tell a customer 'no' without a corporate complaint?
Honestly, last week at the coffee shop in Everett, a guy wanted a refund on a drink he'd finished because it 'wasn't hot enough'. Three years ago, I could have just explained policy and that was that. Now, my manager made me comp a whole new drink and a pastry because he threatened to call corporate. It feels like we have zero backup anymore. Anyone else's store just cave to every demand now?
