Overheard a customer on the phone saying 'they're just a cashier'
At the coffee shop yesterday. Guy was on his phone, loud. Said 'they're just a cashier, what do they know' about the barista. Barista was explaining a new drink. Took it in stride, but you could see it. Makes you think. How many times a day do people decide we don't know our own jobs? Ever have a customer talk right over you like you're furniture?

Ugh, that's so rude. My buddy who works retail had a guy ignore him explaining a return policy, then got mad when the manager said the same exact thing. It's like some people just decide you're not a real person.
