I went with the cheap handheld steamer over a $200 upright model
Bought a $25 handheld steamer at Target last month to deal with some wrinkles on work shirts, and honestly it does the same job as the fancy one my coworker swears by. Anyone else find that the budget option holds up just fine?

Honestly depends on what you're steaming though. The cheap ones work fine for quick touch ups but they don't hold enough water to do a whole dress or curtains. I tried steaming my blazer last weekend and had to refill it like three times. Ended up just ironing it instead.

Oh man, you're not wrong at all. I had the same problem with a cheap steamer trying to do my good work shirt before a trip and it ran dry halfway through. @julia_patel is spot on too, stuff these days just isn't built to last. If you're going cheap, get one with a bigger tank or just skip straight to the iron for anything bigger than a t-shirt. Saves you the headache of refilling and waiting for it to heat back up.

Everything's designed to break now so you buy a new one in two years.
