Found a half-eaten sandwich in the drive-thru chute at 6:45 AM
The breakfast rush was still 20 minutes out, so I had time to stare at that soggy bun and realize nobody on the overnight crew ever checks the return slot, so now I'm adding it to the pre-open checklist and wondering how many other weird things we've missed in plain sight, has anyone else found random junk in the weirdest corners of their station?

That line about the return slot never getting checked really got me, because the drawer under the register was exactly like that for us. We only cleaned it out once a year and found like three old gift cards, a toy car, and what I'm pretty sure was somebody's retainer. Makes you wonder what else is just sitting there while everyone walks right past it.
