Got flagged at a city council meeting in Reno for reading a study they didn't like
I stood up during public comment at the Reno city council meeting two weeks ago and read out loud from a housing report that said the new zoning rule would cut new home permits by 40%, and the mayor cut my mic after about 30 seconds. A guy in the back started filming me on his phone, so I finished reading the whole thing from the hallway outside, and now that clip has 12,000 views and three other people have asked for copies of the study. Why do they get to decide which numbers count as 'public comment' and which ones get the mute button?
