Chose raw milk over pasteurized for 6 months against doc's advice
Back in April at the farmer's market in Round Rock, I had to decide between buying raw milk or the regular stuff. I went with raw because the seller swore it had more probiotics for my gut issues. Three months in, I felt way better but my blood work showed a weird spike in white cells that freaked my doctor out. Has anyone else risked the raw stuff and seen real benefits or just dodged a bullet?

Considered the possibility that your improvement came from the placebo effect combined with avoiding the stress your doctor caused you. Raw milk didn't give you more probiotics - commercial dairies test for that and raw milk can actually have harmful bacteria that trigger your immune system. That white cell spike you saw is exactly what happens when your body fights off an infection, even if you feel fine on the surface. I've seen this pattern with friends who switched to raw dairy and ended up with serious kidney infections months later. The gut improvement might be real, but it could just be that you stopped eating junk processed foods around the same time you made the switch. Your doctor had a real reason to warn you, and blood work doesn't lie about what's going on inside.

Wait, kidney infections MONTHS later? That's a wild leap even for this debate. I mean, you're out here blaming raw milk for something that might've been a totally separate UTI, a bad batch of cheese, or just bad luck. And you're acting like white blood cells only go up when something's trying to kill you, but they also spike after a hard workout or even a stressful week at work. Plus, you're telling the guy his blood work proves your theory, but you didn't even see his full panel, just a number on a page. That's a stretch, man.
