That 'free' payment terminal offer had a catch I almost missed
My credit union pushed a free Clover terminal for new merchant accounts. I nearly bit since I pay $30 a month for my current setup. But a buddy in accounts payable warned me to check the fine print. Buried in the contract was a 3 year lock in with a $250 early termination fee. That cheap hardware would have cost me $1,080 if I switched processors. Has anyone else found a hidden fee scheme in those terminal promotions?

Oh man, same thing happened to my cousin. He signed a thing without reading the fine print and it took him months to get out of it.
