Serious question, why did my bank hold a $700 check from my own grandma for 5 days
She wrote it at her kitchen table in Erie and my rent was due the next morning, so I paid a $35 late fee waiting on money that was already hers. Does anyone know if telling the teller it's from family speeds up the hold, or am I just stuck with it?
