My new tap-to-pay phone case cost me $129 and now I'm hooked
I grabbed one of those fancy phone cases with the built in card slot and tap feature last month for $129. Thought it was a gimmick but I've stopped carrying my wallet entirely for daily errands. The bad part is my bank's app keeps sending me fraud alerts because the contactless chip triggers something weird on their end. I called support and they said it's a known issue with newer readers, not my case. Has anyone else had their bank flag a phone case or wearable as suspicious? I'm wondering if I should just switch back to a regular wallet for peace of mind.

My last phone case with tap-to-pay set off my bank's fraud detector six times in one week, and I swear the guy on the line asked if I'd been cloned by a raccoon. The convenience is real, but I feel like I'm in a weird relationship where my bank distrusts my own hand. I'd give it another week before going back to the wallet, mostly because I'm too cheap to waste that $129.
