My 300th loaf of bread came out looking like a brick and I've never been prouder
I started keeping track of my bakes back in 2019 with a little notebook, and last week I hit loaf number 300. Loaf 299 was a beautiful sourdough with a perfect ear, but 300 came out dense enough to use as a doorstop because I forgot the salt. Funny thing is, my very first loaf back in my tiny kitchen in Akron was also a disaster, and somehow that full circle thing got me a little misty. Anyone else keep a running count of their bakes and have a milestone loaf totally flop on you?
