Had a chat with my grandpa about sourdough starters
He told me his starter is 47 years old, passed down from his mother. Made me rethink throwing mine out after a bad batch last fall. How deep do you guys go with maintaining your starters?

47 years is basically a GOLDEN retriever in starter years, that thing has seen more birthdays than most of us. I've killed three starters in the last two years just by forgetting they exist in the back of the fridge.

My buddy @norag66 forgot his starter so long it grew legs and tried to walk out of his kitchen.
