Thought I could hang curtains in 30 mins, took me 4 hours
Picked up some curtains from Target last Saturday thinking I'd just pop some rods up and be done. First issue was finding studs with my cheap little detector that kept beeping at nothing. Then I realized my drill battery was dead so I had to wait 45 mins for it to charge. By the time I got everything level and the brackets on, it was dark outside and I hadn't even eaten lunch. Has anyone else had a 'quick' home project totally snowball like that?

Wait, is nobody gonna mention that you didn't even look at the instructions first lol?

Read on Reddit that hanging curtains is statistically the most underestimated DIY time-sucker. @james_singh7 probably saved you some headache with that reminder.
