Went to the Alamo Drafthouse for a so-called disaster, found my people
Last month I drove 40 minutes to Austin just to see a 35mm print of a movie everyone I know calls boring. The place was nearly empty, maybe 12 people in the whole theater, and the staff let us talk during the slow parts. One guy kept whispering funny commentary and nobody shushed him, which never happens at my usual multiplex. I walked out feeling like I found a secret club for people who actually like watching movies fail on purpose. Does your town have a theater that embraces the stinkers instead of hiding them?
