The night I walked out of Battlefield Earth and never trusted my friends again
I was at the Regal Cinema on Broad Street in 2001 when my buddy swore it was the next great sci-fi epic and dragged me in. Forty five minutes of John Travolta screaming in dreadlocks and I realized I was the only one not laughing at how bad it was. Does anyone else have a movie they genuinely love for its flaws but can't admit to in public without getting roasted?

2001 at the Regal on Broad Street? That theater was always a dump. I walked out of Battlefield Earth halfway through too, but only because someone threw popcorn at the screen during the alien dog scene. You sat through forty five minutes of that? Respect, I guess. I can't even hate-watch it now without getting secondhand embarrassment from the dreads alone. Your friend owes you a lifetime of picking the next movie.
