Defending 'The Room' - it's pure accidental genius
Had to choose between showing my girlfriend a serious drama or 'The Room'. Picked Tommy Wiseau's masterpiece. She laughed so hard at the rooftop scene she spilled wine on my couch. The plastic spoons thing? We counted 47. Yeah the acting is terrible. But there's something honest about it. Like watching a car crash you can't look away from. Has anyone else found joy in this absolute train wreck of a film?

Read somewhere Wiseau actually thought he was making a serious drama the whole time.

Is it true @parker_park8 thought he was making a serious drama? Like, was he trying to go for a heavy drama with all those weird line deliveries and the rooftop scene? Was he just totally clueless about how it was coming off, or did he think the audience would buy that as legitimate acting?
