Rant: the old copier in accounting finally died and took my patience with it

It jammed on a Tuesday at 3 pm, same as it did ten years ago, but this time the smell of burnt plastic came with it and now I'm waiting on a $600 repair quote for a machine worth maybe $200, has anyone else fought their office over replacing ancient gear instead of just buying new?
