Appreciation post: the note my boss left on my desk last Friday

I've been at this call center for 8 months and my supervisor usually just emails corrections. But last week I came in and there was a handwritten sticky note on my keyboard saying 'good catch on the Smith account'. Nothing else. That simple thing made my whole day. It's wild how a 5 second gesture can outweigh 8 months of criticism. Has anyone else had a small win like that stick with you longer than the big stuff?

Maybe that note means you're easy to please and they know a little praise goes a long way.
