Survived the annual gift reveal without a single meltdown
Last Christmas at my mom's place in Akron, my sister announced she was engaged on the same day my uncle brought his new girlfriend who wore the exact same sweater as my grandma. I had 2 drinks in me by noon and somehow steered the talk to my new dog's weird eating habits, which killed the tension for a solid 20 minutes.
