Update: My old method for chasing wires was a total mess
Back in 2012, I'd just yank on a wire bundle to find the other end, which once pulled a whole section of insulation off a brand new harness in a King Air. Now I use a tone generator and probe for everything after that $5,000 lesson. Anyone have a better trick for tracing lines in a really tight tailcone?

Cheap borescope camera" sounds like a great way to find a wire and lose a camera. That tailcone will eat it for lunch.

A cheap borescope camera will eat your lunch" sounds a bit dramatic lol. I've used a $30 one off Amazon a few times in tight engine bays and honestly, it got the job done without any issues. Sure it's not indestructible, but unless you're forcing it into a jet turbine, you're probably fine.
