Spent a full weekend chasing a bad ground on a G1000 system

Had a G1000 in a Cessna 182 throwing random AHRS faults. The logs were useless, just pointing to a general system fault. I checked every connector and bus bar I could find. It turned out to be a single ground strap behind the main avionics rack, corroded just enough to cause intermittent issues. Took me about 14 hours over two days to finally find it. Anyone else had a simple ground cause a massive headache like that?

Remember when a bad ground made my car radio pick up police scanners? How does it always find the weirdest way to fail?

Ugh, grounds are the worst for that.

Tell me about it. Those hidden grounds are pure evil. You can chase a ghost for days. The system throws a fit but the real problem is some tiny bit of green fuzz hiding where you'd never look. Makes you want to pull your hair out after the first ten hours.
