Showerthought: my shop's wire repair signoffs dropped from 9 in February to 2 in June and I know exactly why
We used to have a guy sign off on every harness repair without ever pulling the prints, and our rework pile kept growing month after month. In March our new lead made everyone do a 5 minute loop check on the pins before closing up a bundle, no exceptions, even on the easy splices. By June we had 2 wire signoffs come back instead of 9, and the guys who complained the loudest are now the ones running the checks. It cost us maybe 20 minutes a night at first. Anyone else seen a small process change like that pay off that fast, or is my shop just lucky?
