Question about the dispatcher in Tampa who changed how I book cars

I was at a depot off I-4 in Tampa waiting on a pickup when the dispatcher told me straight up that my deposit was non refundable if the driver showed and the car wasn't ready, and that one line saved me $250 two weeks later. Now I text a photo of the loaded car to the broker before anyone leaves the lot. Has anyone else had a dispatcher spell out the fine print like that, or is that just a Tampa thing?

That "non refundable if the driver showed" line is gold, always get that in text before they roll.
