A dispatcher in Amarillo showed me how to take photos of my car before shipping, and I still do it 8 years later
Back in 2016 I shipped a Civic from Amarillo to Seattle and the dispatcher walked the lot with me, pointing out every scratch and taking 14 photos from angles I never would have thought of. I figured it was overkill until the carrier tried to blame a door ding on me at pickup. Having those timestamped shots saved me a $400 claim fight. Now I do the same walkaround every time, even for a 30 mile tow. Do you all document before handoff or just trust the bill of lading?
