Master tech said my torque specs were for shows, not for holds
Guy with 30 years in the shop watched me snug up a lower control arm bolt and just shook his head, said I was leaving 10 ft-lbs on the table for the sake of following the book. I started adding a quarter turn past spec on suspension hardware ever since, and I've had zero come-backs on rattles in the last 6 weeks. Anyone else get told to trust the feel over the chart, and did it actually hold up for you?
