Rant: IBA in a downdraft booth beats spot repair every time
Did 3 bumper jobs in my driveway setup with rattle cans and they all came back within a month with peeling clear. Switched to full panel refinish in the booth at my shop in Sacramento and the 2 year old job still looks wet. Anyone else stop chasing spot repairs once they got booth access, or do you still blend for small stuff?
Two years and it still looks wet? Dang, that is a massive gap from rattle can peeling in a month. Wild how much of a difference a real booth and proper gun setup makes versus spraying in a driveway with wind and dust hitting your clear. I still blend small stuff here and there but only when the customer does not care about a perfect match. Once you see that booth finish hold up that long though, it is hard to go back to spot work.
