TIL long exposure calculator apps assume you have a stock lens

I was shooting the Milky Way near Flagstaff last month and my app said 25 seconds at f/2.8, but the stars were trailing badly. Turns out the app defaults to a 24mm lens, and my vintage 50mm needed 12 seconds max. Has anyone else hit this with a non-kit lens?
