I was at a comic con in Chicago and asked a dumb question about a panel
I was at a panel for a show I'd never seen, and I asked the guest a question that was totally wrong about the plot. Instead of laughing, the moderator just explained it kindly and moved on. Has anyone else had a moment where asking a 'bad' question actually helped you learn faster?

Honestly it's just a question at a con, not a final exam. You probably learned more from getting it wrong anyway.

Tell me about it, I once confidently explained how a warp drive works to a guy who turned out to be a physics professor. The look on his face is burned into my brain forever. But hey, at least now I actually know how it works, because I went home and looked it up in total shame. That public faceplant was a better teacher than any quiet guess I ever made. Sometimes you need that full body cringe to really lock in the lesson.
