I finally dropped $600 on a Snow Joe pressure washer and it flopped hard

Everyone in the power washing groups swears by electric units for light work. But I bought the Snow Joe 2X 2030 watt model 3 months ago for residential driveways and sidewalks. First 2 jobs it was fine. Then the hose split on the 3rd use. Then the motor started cutting out after 15 minutes. Took it back to Home Depot and the guy said they see returns on these all the time. Went back to my old gas powered DeWalt for $475 used off Facebook and it runs like a tank. I just don't get why the internet loves these electric units so much when they barely hold up. Has anyone else had better luck with the gas versions?

That Snow Joe story changed my mind about electric washers too.

Oh wow, that's interesting... I wonder if those electric washers actually handle the cold weather better than people assume, since nobody really talks about that part.
