Hit 1,000 unanswered questions in my notes app and only 12 were things I actually needed to know
Last Tuesday I finally scrolled to the bottom of the notes app on my phone and counted 1,000 questions I have typed in there over about two and a half years. Some are normal stuff like how long to bake a sweet potato, but most are weird ones I wrote down at midnight, like why hotel ice machines are always on my floor, or what happens to the letters people send to Santa. I started this list because I kept forgetting stuff I wanted to look up, and I told myself I would work through it slowly. Here is the problem: out of all 1,000, only 12 questions actually changed anything I did. The rest just sat there making me feel like I was learning when I was really just hoarding things to wonder about. I finally deleted about 600 of them two nights ago and it felt like cleaning out a garage I never use. If you keep a list like this, how many of your questions do you think are real and how many are just noise?
