That 'premium' Mesa networking group wanted $150 a month for fake leads

Last month I joined this business networking group that meets near Superstition Springs. They promised warm introductions and vetted members. Paid the $150 monthly fee plus a $50 setup cost. First two meetings were fine, mostly real estate folks and insurance agents. Then I noticed the same people pitching each other, nobody actually closing deals. I asked the organizer for the lead report he bragged about and he said it was 'proprietary'. Did a quick search on the group name and found three complaints from 2022 about the same thing in Glendale. I cancelled after 30 days and lost $200 total. Has anyone else run into these paid groups that just recycle the same faces and never deliver actual referrals?

That "proprietary" line made me think of my buddy who paid $300 for a "VIP" lead list that turned out to be public court records.
