Rant: My visit to the Roman bath site was blocked by construction

Flew all the way there just to find fences and machines everywhere. Couldn't see a thing beyond the plastic sheeting. Who plans major work during peak season anyway?

The post assumes locals hate construction more, but that's not always the case. They deal with it daily and might accept it for future improvements. Tourists only face the hassle during their short trip, so their anger is different but not always less.

My street's been torn up for 18 months now...
