Lost a whole dig logbook to a coffee spill at Gila Cliff Dwellings
I was recording pottery sherd locations last Saturday when my thermos tipped over and soaked through my field notes, completely ruining three hours of grid data. Now I can't match half the artifacts to their original spots on the site map. Does anyone use waterproof paper or a good backup system for field records?

Three hours of grid data? That's brutal. I'd be absolutely sick if that happened to me.
