Saw a crew topping a maple in Council Bluffs on Monday and had to bite my tongue
They were making flush cuts right at the trunk on a 40 foot silver maple, and I knew those wounds would never seal over right. I learned this the hard way on my own parent's tree back in 2009, cost me $800 to take down what I should have just pruned correctly the first time. Has anyone found a polite way to say something to a crew you don't know without starting a fight?
