Figured out a trick for sticky GE fridge ice makers using a heat gun on the mold

After 3 failed attempts with the normal defrost cycle, I zapped the ice cube mold with my heat gun on low for 10 seconds and it popped right free, has anyone else tried this instead of replacing the whole assembly?

Heat gun on plastic is asking for warping or melting.

My Frigidaire was stuck solid, 7 seconds on low did the trick for me too.
