Pro tip: dropped $40 on a region free blu ray player for anime imports and it changed my whole watch setup
Three months ago I bought a region free player off a guy on eBay for $40 because half the shows I wanted were only out in Japan. First disc I tried was a limited box set from Tokyo and it played perfect, no weird skipping or anything. Before that I was watching crappy rips on my laptop with subtitles that were way off, so this felt like a huge upgrade. Now I just order discs straight from Japan and they show up in about 2 weeks. Has anyone else gone region free or do you all just stick to streaming?

Wait, you got a working region free player for $40? I always assumed those cheap eBay ones were sketchy or would die in a month. That's a steal if it actually holds up.
