TIL my panel's backup battery died at 2 AM and the siren chirped like a dying bird
Got a call from a client in Mesa at 2 AM saying the keypad was beeping every 30 seconds and the siren made a sad little chirp instead of the full horn. Turned out the 12V 7Ah battery was 4 years old and only holding 6 volts, so the panel was basically running on fumes. Anyone else carry a spare battery on the truck for these late night calls or do you just tell them to unplug it till morning?
