My reno job's got me stuck on alarm visibility

The homeowner wants everything tucked away for a clean look. But I've heard from others that visible gear can deter burglars better. How do you balance looks and security in your installs?

In my last install on Maple Street, we used a bright blue strobe light on the front porch. It's clearly visible from the street but matches the modern trim. Burglars often skip houses with obvious alarms. We also put decoy cameras near the doors. Looks clean but sends a strong message. You get both security and style that way.

Last year's study found visible alarms deter 40% of burglars, so blend them into the design smartly.

Wait, bright blue strobes @parker_sullivan? That's a wild choice.
