Had a panel die on me mid-install last Tuesday
Was swapping out an old DSC for a new Qolsys and the touchscreen just went black 20 minutes in. Had to drive 45 mins back to the shop for a backup unit while the homeowner stood there watching me.

Had the exact same thing happen with a 2GIG panel last month, super frustrating.

You really think 2GIG panels are that bad? I had one for two years with zero issues (wireless sensors and all), so I'm wondering if maybe the problem was with the setup or the installer instead. Just seems like people jump to blame the hardware when it could be something else (like a bad cell signal or loose wire).
