A spider's masterpiece confused my motion sensor for a week
Last week, a homeowner called me about a motion sensor that kept triggering false alarms. They said it happened every night around the same time. I checked the wiring and settings, but everything seemed fine. Turns out, a big spider was building a web right in front of the sensor. I stayed late one night and saw the web swaying in the breeze, setting it off. I cleaned the web and moved the sensor a bit, problem solved. Now I always check for bugs and cobwebs during installs.

Tell me about it. The simplest fix is usually the one you overlook for days. Makes you feel a bit silly when you finally find it.

It's wild how often the smallest thing throws off a whole system. I've seen dust or a single leaf do the same thing to a smart camera.

How is it always the tiniest stuff that wrecks the tech? My neighbor's security cam kept going offline and it was just a slightly loose cable in the wall plug. Spent way too long looking for a bigger problem.
