Heading to the FAA safety seminar in Dallas, any tips?

I'm going to the FAA safety seminar in Dallas next month. Has anyone been before and know what to bring? I hear they talk about new rules.

Oh nice, I went to one last year! Bring a notepad because they throw a ton of info at you about rule changes. It's actually pretty helpful stuff.

Honestly, bringing a notepad sounds like overkill to me. They might throw a lot of info, but half of it is stuff you can find online later. Like last time I went, they spent ages on basic rules everyone already knows. Writing it down just means you miss what's being said while you scribble. Plus, they usually hand out summaries anyway, so why bother?
