Struggling between basket and tray style air fryers

I had to pick between a basket type and a tray style air fryer last month. Went with the basket one because it was cheaper, like $50 at Target. But now I'm kinda regretting it because the tray seems easier to fit bigger stuff like a whole chicken. Anyone else switch between the two and have thoughts on which works better for meals for two people?

@danielmason asked if it's for two people most nights, and yeah, that changes things a bit. For two people, the basket is totally fine most of the time unless you're trying to do a whole chicken or a big batch of fries. You can get a lot of mileage out of a basket model if you just cook in batches, which is what I do. But honestly, if you're already regretting the basket after a month, that feeling probably won't go away. Might be worth swapping to a tray while you still can or just keeping an eye out for a sale on one.
