Burnt my toast 4 straight mornings before I realized the air fryer had a toast button

So I got this air fryer last week and I kept throwing bread in there at 400 degrees for 10 minutes like a maniac. Every single morning I pulled out hockey pucks. My wife finally walked over, pressed one button that literally says TOAST, and set it to 3 minutes. She looked at me and said 'you know there are presets, right?' lol. Has anyone else ignored the buttons this bad? Also how long does it take everyone to stop defaulting to max heat for everything?
