Tried a $50 AI resume optimizer and got zero callbacks for 3 months straight

I paid for one of those AI tools that claims to rewrite your resume for job algorithms, but after sending out 40 applications and hearing nothing, I realized it was stuffing in so many random keywords that my resume read like a robot wrote it has anyone else had an AI tool actually hurt your job hunt?

I'd trash that resume and start over from scratch. Those AI tools just jam in every buzzword they can find, so your resume ends up saying stuff like "synergistic team player who leverages blockchain solutions" when you're applying for a basic warehouse job. I had a buddy use one and his resume said "proficient in agile methodologies" but he'd never even worked in an office. Recruiters can spot that fake AI garbage from a mile away, they're looking for real experience not keyword soup.

Just rewrote mine with a plain text editor and got way more callbacks.
