Spent 45 minutes trying to get an AI image generator to draw a simple coffee mug on a table
I was messing with Midjourney last night and asked it for just a white coffee mug on a wooden table. Took me 45 minutes and about 15 iterations because it kept adding weird shadows or making the mug look like it was floating. Finally got it right by adding 'studio lighting' and 'flat lay' to the prompt. Has anyone else run into this where simple prompts take way more tweaks than expected?

Oh man, I feel your PAIN on this one. I spent a whole evening trying to get an AI to make a plain glass of water and it kept turning it into some weird glowing potion. It's SO frustrating when the simplest things take forever and you end up typing weird technical terms just to get a basic shape right.

Lol even a toddler could draw a better coffee mug than these overhyped AI tools.

Oh man, totally been there! I asked for a simple pencil on a desk once and it gave me like this floating glowing lightsaber thing. @alicew68 is right about the glowing potion thing, these tools just love making everyday objects look magical for some reason. I finally got a normal pencil by adding 'office supply catalog photo' to my prompt, which is ridiculous when you think about it. Why do I need to pretend I'm making a boring catalog just to get a basic object? It's like the AI gets bored with simple requests and tries to spice things up on its own.
