Misread a contract clause and lost a $14k retainer in Portland
I skimmed the indemnity section of our master services agreement and missed that the client required 90 days notice to terminate, not 30. We got hit with a 60 day overlap with no work assigned, and I ended up eating the cost of two freelancers. Has anyone else gotten burned by a contract detail that seemed minor on the first read?

90 day notice got me too, now I set calendar alerts for every contract deadline before signing.
