Lost $2,400 on a referral partner who never sent me one signed client in 5 months
Signed a 15% commission deal with a marketing guy in Denver who promised me 4 retainer clients a month, and after 5 months and $2,400 in co-branded collateral I got exactly zero intros, so now I ask for 2 warm intros in writing before I put anything on paper, has anyone else been burned by a partnership that looked good on paper but had no follow through?

Did your friend ever try to get the money back or was it just gone? A buddy of mine did a rev share deal with a guy who talked a big game, and after six months of free work he found out the guy never even pitched him to anyone. Turns out the "pipeline" was just his own contact list he was too lazy to call.
