Finally picked the cheaper dentist, saved $900 and no lectures
I have terrible dental anxiety and my old dentist would shame me every visit. I kept putting off a root canal until it turned into an emergency. My friend recommended this place across town that takes my insurance and doesn't upsell. I went back and forth for 2 weeks because I was scared they'd be rough or something. Ended up going last Tuesday and honestly it was the most chill dental visit I've had in 10 years. They explained everything, didn't push the fancy crown option, and the total bill was $600 instead of the $1500 quote I got from my old guy. The numbing wore off by dinner and I only needed ibuprofen. Has anyone else switched dentists late in life and had it be way less painful than you thought?
