Watched a guy at the Juan Tabo ReStore test 6 ceiling fans before buying one, and it clicked
I was standing in line at the ReStore off Juan Tabo last Saturday and this older guy had a little multimeter out, checking every used ceiling fan on the shelf before he picked one. He said he'd been burned twice on used fans that spun fine on the bench but wobbled like crazy once mounted. It made me realize I've been buying used fixtures on looks alone for years and never once tested them in the store. Do you all bring a tester when you shop the ReStore, or am I the only one who just trusts it works?
